| Bio: | Just your average sex machine...![]() OOC Information. Name: Anna Age: 21 E-mail: reeses_cup_86@yahoo.com AIM: Sugaqyeen@aim.com Time Zone: Pacific PB: Brandon Jay McLaren Journal: no_tag_backs Canon or OC: Canon Non-Counted Plot Character or Normal: Normal IC -- General Information. Name: Brian Cruz Alias: Bry, Ranger Field Name: Tag Age and Birth date: 23 August 17, 1984 Nationality: Jamaican and Brazilian Genetic Information. Mutation: Tag can "tag" other people, causing them to emit a psionic signal compelling others to run away from the tagged subject. Or just the opposite, to cause those within a range of 50 yards to flock to a tagged individual. This includes himself. He must touch his target to activate the power, and once out of range, people can shake off the effect relatively easily. Registered Mutant: Registered. Physical Information. Eye color: Dark Brown Hair color: Brown Height: 6’2 Weight: 220 Build: Muscular Dress Style: Brian is partial to nice jeans, sweaters, and active wear. Anything comfortable, occasionally form fitting. Personality: Brian is a jokester, but knows how and when to be serious. He has a carefree attitude, not usually letting anything get under his skin. Tough when he has to be, he does know how to handle himself, but he would rather not let things escalate into anything serious. A fast talker that can verbally get himself out of most situations, but has a swift right hook if he needs it. Brian has a ‘life’s too short’ outlook on life, and catches anything that is thrown at him. Knowing that he is attractive, he can be arrogant and slip into a ladies man mode, but he isn’t altogether disrespectful. Just suave. And keenly intelligent. Skills: Brian is a sportsman, which explains to his nice figure. Boxing, basketball, football (soccer), baseball, and on, he is golden when it comes to physical sports. He was always the star on any team he joined and has the trophies to prove it. Aside from that, he is reasonably easy to get along with and knows how to talk people up real smooth like. He is a fairly good artist, but hasn’t practiced too much with it. If he ever sits down for a while and tests it out, he’ll find that he has a new talent. Limitations: He cannot cook to save his life. Left to his own devices in the kitchen, Brian would destroy it. Also, his arrogance can get in the way at times. Some are not too fond of his cockiness, and it has been known to come back to haunt him. Sad to say, he also can have trouble paying attention to things or noticing small details. It is a weakness of his. Interests: Brian is fond of anything sports related. He is a real guy that way, and tests his endurance on the field to the max. On the other hand, he hides a love for literature and learning. Brian loves most kinds of music and films, but everyone has their favorites. His being rap and comedy. Extreme sports and motor biking tickle his fancy. Dislikes: Brian despises golf. He doesn’t believe that it should be a sport. Other than that, not much bugs him: generally disrespectful or bias people may annoy him. History: Brian was born in Montes Carlos, Brazil to Vincent Cruz and his wife, Lydia Deangelo. Lydia did her part in supporting the small family, working full time at a nearby factory while Vincent started a gambling business. They were social middle class. Brian was three when his parents divorced. It was discovered that upon a family reunion, Vincent had an affair with his sister in law. Lydia left Vincent and moved back to Jamaica, and after a heinous court battle the couple settled to share custody of Brian. Brian lived with Vincent in Brazil. There his father became a successful entrepreneur. Brian spent summers with Lydia and then the rest of the year at home with Vincent. He was close with his dad yet not so much with his mother, who always held resentment over her divorce. Otherwise, Brian was a normal kid, started early in sports and seemed to shine from there. He never lacked for friends and held a popular status at school. Learning that he was a mutant really came as no surprise to him. He knew of specialties on this mother’s side, and so it was not so dramatic a time for him at the age of ten when it developed. Also, it being so innocuous, he could shake it off without bother. Ironically his powers were first developed during a game of tag, though at that time he did not recognize them for what they were. He did not know it was his doing, sporadically he would see a few people scatter away/to him or someone around him. But soon he guessed as to what it was and accepted that it was his doing. Brian did not play around with it over much, though through High school he occasionally made a secret use of it during a competitive football match or such. A member of the opposite team would find themselves flocked to if they had the ball, or were they on his team, repelled from. But he was careful not to stand out over much. Even then he knew how problematic it could be for someone to discover his abilities, so he lived quietly with it. Brian would have been content to go on with his life the way he was. After High school, he moved to Chicago with his father. During the few years he had been out of grade school, he worked with at his father’s enterprises. Brian eventually began planning his future and got accepted into NYU with business type aspirations, which made Vincent proud. But things took a turn while he was visiting his mother in Half Way Tree for the summer, as he did every year. It was about a week before he was to leave and go back to work with Vincent until his courses started up when a neighbor brought to their attention a strange letter in the local paper. A young woman in New York claiming that Reina Deangelo, his aunt and Vincent’s other woman, was now dead. The young girl called herself Vea and was looking for any family of Reina’s. At the news that Reina was now dead, Lydia went into a rage over the atrocity of years ago and the fact that apparently the scrooge of her failed marriage had a daughter. She refused to even consider contacting Vea back. So Brian took matters into his own hands and called the editor of the local paper to get the young lady’s information. He would find her and touch base, because he knows why his aunt left: because she was pregnant. He guessed that Vea was his half sister. He moves to New York, as planned. Upon finding out that Vea is a mutant too, he decides that sticking around the school would be best not only to be close to his sister, but to actually find out more of his own mutation. | |||||||||
